Presented by: Funders Together to End Homelessness - Los Angeles at Southern California Grantmakers
Tuesday, March 4, 2025 | 1:00-2:00pm Pacific Time
In this learning session, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the region’s approach to homelessness and housing affordability following the passage of Measure A, a ½ County sales tax that goes into effect on April 1, 2025. Measure A will generate ~$1B annually for housing production, preservation, and renter supports, as well as fund ongoing homeless services and expanded access to mental health care. This collective effort will require deep public-private alignment on strategy and implementation.
In light of the recent devastating wildfires, the session will also explore collaborative strategies to help protect land from disaster capitalization and preserve affordability for all LA residents.
Experts from philanthropy and the public sector will dive into Measure A’s goals; how funds will be distributed and prioritized; equity and accountability measures; operating bodies; and the distinct roles of private funders, government, service providers, and housing developers.
