Co-Hosted by: Fund for Housing and Opportunity
The housing justice movement is at a pivotal moment and despite efforts, little has changed for those who are unhoused or living in undignified housing. And the coming years holds little promise for low-income households. As economic inequity, racism, and climate change continue to shape our communities, it’s essential for nonprofit and foundation leaders to take a proactive stance. The future can be different—for your organization and the families you serve—if we take deliberate action today.
Join us for "Now is the Time to be a Future-Focused Leader," a webinar with philanthropic futurist Trista Harris, President of FutureGood. As we enter a new political environment, this powerful program will help nonprofit and foundation leaders resist strictly reacting to the harmful challenges we know are ahead and instead focus on proactive actions that build a just future for all. Join us for this unique opportunity to explore how your leadership can co-create and shape the future of housing justice. We’re encouraging funders to invite their grantees working in housing justice and intersecting issues so they can also benefit from this experience as well.
This webinar is generously sponsored by the Melville Charitable Trust and co-hosted by Funders Together to End Homelessness and the Fund for Housing and Opportunity. These three organizations welcome their grantees, members, and grantees of their members to participate in this webinar.

About Futurism & FutureGood
What Is Futurism?
Nonprofits, foundations, and social purpose businesses are working to solve some of society’s toughest challenges. Futurism is a valuable tool that helps us see what is coming next and improve the future through better decision-making. The government, military, and private sector all use tools of futurism to strengthen their ability to understand what is coming next. It’s time for people in the social sector to take advantage of those same tools and to be an active voice in the spaces and places where the future is being created.
Approaching your work through the lens of futurism can increase your capacity and ability to solve social problems so you can become more valuable to your organization and community.
- Concentrate your attention on the problems where you can have the largest impact.
- Influence greater change on the issues you are most passionate about.
- Create consensus within groups by helping others see a clear path forward.
- Establish a vision of long-term success that people can buy into.
