In 2014, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) was signed into law in order to provide greater access to employment, especially to those experiencing homelessness. The success of its implementation requires partnerships and collaboration from communities, government, and foundations alike.
In this webinar, we will examine how employment and WIOA intersect with homelessness and what opportunities are present for philanthropy to ensure the planning and implementation of WIOA leads to better opportunities for employment.
Panelists include:
- Rob Podlogar, National Director, Siemer Institute for Family Stability
- Melissa Young, Director, National Initiatives of Poverty & Economic Opportunity, Heartland Alliance
