Join funders from across New England to network, learn, and discuss family homelessness and the important role that economic security plays in our efforts to prevent and end homelessness in our communities. Local leaders from The Paul & Phyllis Fireman Charitable Foundation and the Melville Charitable Trust will share an innovative approach they’ve implemented in Massachusetts and Connecticut called Secure Jobs. Hear how they learned from each other and were able to implement an effective model.

We will also hear from David Wertheimer of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as he shares what the foundation has learned in their 15+ years working on family homelessness in Washington State and what they’re doing now.

Recording Available: New Opportunities Around Ending Youth Homelessness

In September, we highlighted current opportunities for philanthropy to lead their community in the fight to end youth homelessness. We examined the new A Way Home America initiative and philanthropy's role in supporting the effort as well as new opportunities for philanthropy through the Department of Housing and Urban Development Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program.

If you weren't able to join us, we encourage you to view the webinar recording and slides to see how as a funder, you can be a leader in ending youth homelessness in your community.

From the Webinar Archives: Advocacy - The Funder's Role

Each election year is a pivotal point for the movement to prevent and end homelessness. It is important to strategize how funders can best use resources to help advocate for innovative and effective solutions to homelessness. In this webinar, we examine the various roles both private and public funders can take to advance advocacy efforts at all levels: local, state, and federal.
