Health and Safety Precautions
Funders Together to End Homelessness remains committed to ensuring the health and safety of our participants. Funders Together uses the National Alliance to End Homelessness’ health and safety protocols as a baseline for the Funders Forum and often adds additional layers of precautions. Funders Together reserves the right to add additional layers of precautions depending on public health recommendations and will not subtract already communicated precautions. Please read below for our COVID-19 health and safety protocols for the 2025 Funders Forum. Attendees should check this page for any changes to these precautions specifically as it relates to the Funders Forum.
- REQUIRED: Proof of negative COVID-19 rapid test. Attendees agree to take a rapid test the morning of Tuesday, February 25, 2025 and show proof of a negative result (photo or the physical test) at the Funders Forum check-in table. Those without proof of a negative test will be asked to take a rapid test onsite to gain entry to the Forum. Attendees agree to not attend and participate in the Funders Forum if they receive a positive COVID-19 test result or exhibit symptoms of any infectious illness (such as the common cold) prior to the event.
- RECOMMENDED, BUT NOT REQUIRED: Masking. Funders Together will NOT require masking, but attendees are strongly encouraging participants to wear a mask indoors to prevent the spread of infectious disease.
Funders Together will also follow NAEH’s Safety Precautions, below:
- General Attendee and Guest Precautions. Attendees are strongly encouraged to be up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations per CDC guidelines as of September 11, 2024.
- Attestation. Attendees will be required to attest during registration that they will test for COVID-19 if exhibiting any symptoms prior to the departure for the event, while attending the event, and/or following their return home after the event. Attendees should not participate in the event if, at any point, they test positive before or during the event.
- Enforcement. CDC recommendations or requirements of the host city will be in effect at the time of the meeting will be enacted and enforced.

Disability Justice Guidelines
Funders Together is committed to making sure that our events are accessible and are in alignment to advance disability justice. We encourage all attendees to read and observe our disability justice guidance.
Following guidance from disability justice leaders, it reflects our hope that everyone can access and participate fully in the Funders Forum:
- Assume people with disabilities are in the room even if no one “appears” to be.
- Do not assume people can see or read the slides. For example, avoid expressions like “as you can see on the slide.” If you are drawing people's attention to what is on a slide, briefly describe what is on the screen and/or what you want people to notice.
- Use the microphone whenever addressing the whole room – don’t assume your voice is loud enough.
- Minimize table talk when someone is speaking on mic, which aids the effectiveness of assisted listening devices and generally makes it easier to hear the speaker.
- Define technical terms and spell out acronyms. Use plain language whenever possible. Make no assumptions that people understand jargon. Be mindful not to speak too quickly.
- Refrain from harmful expressions that characterize disabilities as an error, such as “wheelchair-bound” or “suffers from” (alternatives include wheelchair user, for example).
- Keep chairs clear from tables designated for wheelchair use. Keep passageways clear.
- Ask for consent before touching anyone. For example, ask “may I give you a hug?”
If you have any questions or feedback about the above or require any specific accommodations, please contact Michael Durham.
