Webinar: Recommendations for Philanthropy to Support Immediate Needs and Long-Term Solutions to End Homelessness during COVID-19

Wednesday, May 20 | 3:00 ET | 2:00 CT | 1:00 MT | 12:00 PT

As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads across the country, we must remember that all of us are better off when everyone, especially members of our community experiencing homelessness, are healthy. People experiencing homelessness are uniquely at risk of being exposed to and contracting COVID-19, but we know that safe, stable housing is a key to saving lives and keeping communities healthy. If we are thoughtful and intentional about how we act now, we can end homelessness.

The role of philanthropy during this unprecedented time cannot be overstated. In early May, Funders Together shared a set of recommendations that were created to provide guidance to philanthropy around both the immediate needs (response) and long-term strategies (recovery) for effective and equitable solutions to support people experiencing homelessness.

Join this webinar to dive deeper into these recommendations for philanthropy working to prevent and end homelessness during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will walk through what funders can do now to meet immediate needs, as well as share actions funders should start taking now to prepare for a strategic recovery period. Participants will also learn how these recommendations fit in with key guidance from the Framework for COVID-19 Homelessness Response from our partners at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) and the National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH).

  • Amanda Andere, CEO, Funders Together to End Homelessness
