Funders Together for Housing Justice is pleased to co-sponsor a special in-person briefing moderated by renowned author and founder of Interrupting Criminalization, Andrea Ritchie. Joining a panel representing housing organizers, child welfare (aka the family regulation system) activists, and immigration justice experts, Ritchie will lead funders through the cross-sector manifestations of mass criminalization of poverty, including its influence on growing family and youth homelessness. This session will uplift concrete wins from New York state and point to practical opportunities for philanthropy to resist criminalization in their own communities.
