The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program acts as a time limited program to assists families with children when the parents or other responsible relatives cannot provide for the family’s basic needs. Some states are making strides in using TANF to help prevent and end homelessness. In this webinar, Elizabeth Lower-Basch, Director of Income and Work Supports at Center for Law and Social Policy, will explore how TANF can be used to assist families experiencing homelessness and how philanthropy can leverage these funds.
